An affirmation is a personal action statement given in the present sense and in the first person. You should never use negative statements but instead it would be better to say “I am calm and peaceful”.

With positive affirmations you can feed your brain new information and instructions for a better mental state and subsequently better life. You can achieve absolute calm at last.
